The method comprises the following steps that A, valuable and rare camellia seeds are subjected to vibrationscreening so as to remove impurities; B, the screened valuable and rare camellia seeds are placed into clean water so as to remove shrivelled flower seeds floating on the water; C, the valuable and rare camellia seeds sinking into the water are taken out and air-dried; and D, the valuable and rare camellia seeds are uniformly placed on a conveying belt and subjected to X-ray detection by using anX-ray machine, the valuable and rare camellia seeds are graded according to a detection result, and the valuable and rare camellia seeds are packed according to the grading result of the valuable andrare camellia seeds. The method can overcome the defects of the prior art, and improves the camellia seed evaluating and optimizing efficiency and precision.
