According to the protection method for avoiding collision of the cutting head, by means of the arrangement of the first step, the second step and thethird step, the purpose that the cutting head is provided with the sensor, then, the servo motor is stopped in time after the senor senses the barrier, and the problem that the cutting head collides with the barrier and consequently the cutting head is damaged is avoided can be effectively achieved.
