The backlight source comprises a light guide plate and acollimating light source arranged on the side face of the light guide plate. According to the display device and the control method thereof and the display equipment, the grid structure is arranged onthe side, away from the light guide plate, of the liquid crystal layer, the grid structure is reused as the raster and the electrode for controlling the refractive index of the liquid crystal layer,and an electrode assembly and the raster do not need to be arranged in the display device. The problems that in the correlation technique, a display device is complex in structure, and light is leakedat a dark state are solved, and the effects of simplifying the overall structure of the display device and avoiding light leakage at the dark state are achieved.
