The method comprises the steps of firstly reading PDF (Portable Document Format) electronic files which need to be archived by utilizing PDF processing software; creating a new PDF layer; and drawing an archive seal according to archived data on the PDF layer and covering the obtained PDF layer drawn withthe archive seal on the read PDF electronic files to obtain final archived files. The method disclosed by the invention has the advantages that the drawing and the stamping of the archive seal are carried out on PDF digital archives by utilizing iTextSharp open source components; the requirements for electronic management of the archives are realized; the method is in line with national regulations; and the workload of archive managers is also reduced at the same time.
