The water treatment system is characterized by comprising a composite filter element and water channels; at least afirst water inlet, a first water outlet, a second water inlet and a second water outlet are formed in the composite filter element, external tap water can flow into the first water inlet from a raw water pipeline, a raw water branch can be formed, tap water which flows into the first water inlet can flow out from the first water outlet, a part of the tap water can be directly distributed into an external water purification interface, a water purification branch can be formed, another part of the tap water can flow into an RO (reverse osmosis) membrane filter element via the corresponding waterchannel to be filtered, then can flow back into the composite filter element via the second water inlet and can flow out to a user side via the second water outlet, and a purified water branch can beultimately formed. The water treatment system has the advantages that the water treatment system comprises a composite filter element structure, accordingly, the integral volumes of water channel systems can be diminished, and water channel layout can be simplified.
