The present invention provides a curve early warning implementation method based on video speed measurement. The method is used for a target curve, and a monitoring area is arranged at front of the target curve. The method comprises the steps of: obtaining vehicle images when a vehicle enter the monitoring area, and calculating the speed and the accelerated speed of the vehicle passing through themonitoring area through the vehicle images; pre-estimating the speed of the vehicle entering the target curve according to the speed and the accelerated speed of the vehicle passing through the monitoring area; obtaining the model contour of the vehicle according to the vehicle images so as to estimate the critical safe vehicle speed of the vehicle at the target curve; if the speed of the vehicleentering the target curve is smaller than 0.85 of the critical safe vehicle speed, determining that the vehicle is in a safe state at the target curve; if the speed of the vehicle entering the targetcurve is larger than 0.85 of the critical safe vehicle speed and smaller than the critical safe vehicle speed, allowing the vehicle to reduce the speed for running; and if the speed of the vehicle entering the target curve is larger than the critical safe vehicle speed, allowing the vehicle to perform braking operation.
