[0072] In order to facilitate those of ordinary skill in the art to understand and implement the present invention, the present invention will be described in further detail below in conjunction with the examples. It should be understood that the implementation examples described here are only used to illustrate and explain the present invention, and are not intended to limit the present invention.

[0073] Below at first some concepts mentioned in the present invention are introduced:

[0074] The main effect caused by fog is that the overall brightness of the image increases and the color casts, while the contrast decreases. Therefore, the main goal of defogging is to correct color cast and improve image contrast, and image detail is also a very important enhancement factor. In the concept of intrinsic image, the image information F(x,y) received by the machine vision system can be expressed as the product of the illumination component I(x,y) and the reflection component R(x...

Abstract

The invention discloses a gradient-guided TV-Retinex single-frame image defogging method, belonging to the field of computer vision. The gradient-guided TV-Retinex single-frame image defogging methodcomprises the steps of firstly, realizing brightness offset correction by adopting a half-quadratic punishment calculation method and utilizing a gradient similarity according to a mechanism of imagedegradation caused by fog, and then combining a variational frame (TV-)Retinex and adopting a Split Bregman algorithm to perform image refinement and enhanced defogging. The gradient-guided TV-Retinexsingle-frame image defogging method has the advantages of being capable of restoring a clear image from an original image directly without pre-storing a fog-free image for reference, correcting imagebrightness, improving image detail definition, restoring a clear fog-free image, completing the defogging processing quickly, being adapt to real-time application, and improving the reliability and efficiency of an outdoor intelligent machine vision system.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a fast image defogging method, belongs to the field of computer vision, and in particular relates to an image preprocessing method and image enhancement technology of a computer vision system. Background technique [0002] Preprocessing the video image of computer vision system is a very important step, which can be widely used in outdoor video surveillance, outdoor survey system, automatic navigation system and traffic management system and other fields. Fast image defogging refers to the rapid defogging of images in computer vision systems to make images clear and resist the impact of weather changes on system work efficiency. [0003] The current image defogging method has multiple frames and requires known fog-free images or multiple images, which is difficult to adapt to real-time applications. There are also single frames but require certain prior knowledge for support. These two methods have certain limitations, which a...
