The system comprises a primary side unit and a secondary side unit; the primary side unit comprises a primaryside power coil, auxiliary coils and a communication signal transmitting module, and the secondary side unit comprises a secondary side power coil, a communication signal receiving module and a secondary side control module; the communication signal transmitting module connected to the auxiliary coils generates communication signals including ID information of the auxiliary coils and applies thecommunication signals on the auxiliary coils, the communication signals are transmitted to the secondary side power coil through coupling between the auxiliary coils and the secondary side power coil,the amplitudes and IDs of the communication signals are obtained through the communication signal receiving module and the secondary side control module, by calculating the amplitude values of the communication signals of all the auxiliary coils, the position, relative to the primary side power coil, of the secondary side power coil can be obtained, and therefore the secondary side power coil ispositioned. According to the positioning system, just by additionally arranging a small amount of additional hardware, the position of the secondary side power coil in a wireless charging system of the electric vehicle can be quickly and accurately measured.
