The method comprises a code obtaining step of obtaining product codes of a to-be-programmed chip by a programming client,a searching and downloading step of searching and downloading a corresponding first firmware program from a firmware server according to the product codes by the programming client, a programming stepof programming the first firmware program to the chip by the programming client to form a second firmware program, and a check step of reading the second firmware program in the chip by the programming client, checking whether the second firmware program is the same as the first firmware program or not, and if yes, determining the chip as a qualified product, otherwise, determining the chip as anunqualified product. Chip programming and quality control are automatically integrated into a system; automatic identification, programming and verification of the chip are realized; chip programmingquality and efficiency are improved; the cost is reduced; and the operation is convenient.
