The portable folding type electric power-assisted bicycle comprises a front pipe assembly, a rear pipe assembly, a foldable connecting assembly, a control handle assembly, a pedal driving assembly and an electric driving assembly, wherein the lower end of the front pipe assembly is connected with a front wheel, and the front pipe assembly is telescopic; the lower end of the rear pipe assembly is connected with a rear wheel, and the rear pipe assembly is telescopic; the foldable connecting assembly is connected with the front pipe assembly and the rear pipe assembly; the control handle assembly is connected to the upper end of the front pipe assembly; the pedal driving assembly is connected to the lower end ofthe rear pipe assembly and is capable of driving the rear wheel; the electric driving assembly comprises a motor, a power supply which is used for supplying power to the motor, a sensing component and a control component which is respectively connected with the power supply and the sensing component; the motor is arranged on the front wheel and is capable of electrically driving the motor; the power supply and the control component are arranged on the front pipe assembly; the sensing component is arranged in the electric driving assembly and is used for sensing whether the rear wheel is driven by the electric driving assembly or not.
