Abstract

The invention discloses an automatic optical ore identification method which comprises the following steps: S1: dividing an ore photo to distinguish a background area from an ore area; S2: obtaining ore characteristics of the ore area and performing ore identification based on the ore characteristics. Before the ore photo is divided, the ore photo is subjected to pretreatment, then the pretreatedore photo is divided into the background area and the ore area through Euclidean distance transformation. A plurality of ore characteristics and positions of the ore area can be extracted from the divided ore area. Ore identification is carried out based on the ore characteristics by use of a BP neural network, and the position of the ore area identified as ore is output. By implementing the automatic optical ore identification method disclosed by the invention and adopting a computer readable storage medium, a processor is employed to perform automatic optical ore identification; thus, compared with manual selection, the automatic optical ore identification method has the advantages of high speed, high production efficiency, low cost and high separation rate.
