Abstract

The invention relates to the technical field of unmanned aerial vehicles, and provides an unmanned aerial vehicle tracking system and method. The unmanned aerial vehicle tracking system comprises a target beacon and an unmanned aerial vehicle. An airborne identification module is mounted on the unmanned aerial vehicle and is electrically connected with a flight control apparatus of the unmanned aerial vehicle. An infrared emission apparatus is loaded on the target beacon and used for emitting infrared rays. The airborne identification module shoots the infrared rays to obtain an image containing infrared light points, and identifies position information of the infrared light points. The flight control apparatus adjusts a flight position of the unmanned aerial vehicle according to the position information, thereby enabling the unmanned aerial vehicle to track the target beacon. Compared with the prior art, the tracking error caused by GPS coordinate precision deficiency and drift problem of the unmanned aerial vehicle can be avoided; and the unmanned aerial vehicle is guided to accurately track the target beacon through the infrared rays emitted by the infrared emission apparatus.
