The method includes: acquiring part demand rates of equipment maintenance station sites at any time; calculating numbers ofparts of the station sites in repairing according to the part demand rates of the station sites; calculating numbers of the parts of the station sites in transit according to the part demand rates ofthe station sites; calculating maintenance guarantee delay numbers and transport guarantee delay numbers of the parts of the station sites according to the part demand rates of the station sites; acquiring part supply mean-values and variances of the station sites; calculating and obtaining expectation shortage numbers of the parts according to part inventory numbers, part supply values and part shortage numbers of the station sites; combining the part supply mean-values and variances to calculate availability of the parts according to the expectation shortage numbers of the parts and the variances; and calculating availability of equipment. The method of the technical solution of the invention is accurate in a model algorithm, is fast in a calculation speed, is suitable for use in establishing an any-hierarchy equipment time-varying availability model, is small in errors when availability is low and repair probability is higher, and is wide in an applicability range.
