[0034] specific implementation plan

[0035] Wearable devices and methods associated therewith are provided that predict the context in which they are used based on previously tracked user input. The wearable device may be any type of wearable device, such as one that is primarily intended to be worn on the user's neck (e.g., necklace), arm (e.g., armband), head (e.g., hat, helmet, headband, or lights), legs, chest or waist (e.g., belt or body harness), feet (e.g., shoes or socks), ankles or knees (e.g., knee braces), or any other area of the user’s body. The wearable device may also be a device that is primarily intended to be held in the user's hand or kept in the user's pocket. The wearable device may also be a device intended to be worn over the skin (eg a patch) or under the skin (eg an implant).

[0036] The wearable device (for example, Apple Watch TMdevice) can include, as embodied in various systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable storage media, ca...

Abstract

A wearable device (105) for sleep assistance includes at least one sensor (115) to detect one or several vital signs of a user of the wearable device, a memory (155) to store a set of sleep aid techniques, and an interface to receive a selection of a sleep aid technique from the set of sleep aid techniques. Each aid sleep technique includes instructions facilitating the user to fall asleep and is associated with a doze-off time estimated for the sleep aid technique to affect the user following the instructions. The wearable device also includes a processor to update the doze-off time based on the vital signs of the user, to determine, based on the updated doze-off time, a schedule for executing at least one predetermined action, and to execute the predetermined action according to the schedule.

Description

[0001] Cross References to Related Applications [0002] This application claims the benefit of priority to US Provisional Patent Application 62 / 137965, entitled "Doze Off Wearable," filed March 25, 2015, the disclosure of which is incorporated herein by reference. technical field [0003] This disclosure relates to wearable technology. More specifically, but not exclusively, this disclosure relates to smart wearable devices that assist users in falling asleep. Background technique [0004] Wearable technology, wearable devices, or simply "wearables" refer to a new class of electronic systems that can provide ubiquitous data collection through a variety of unobtrusive sensors. Although sensors provide information about changes in the environment, human activities, or health conditions, there are significant challenges to the coordination, communication, and computation of ubiquitously collected data. Furthermore, in order to synthesize the information to create useful know...
