Abstract

The invention discloses a method and a system for distributed asynchronous management of telecommunication equipment based on an SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol). The method comprises the following steps: a network manager sends an original SNMP request message to a main agent device, and selectively adds a custom SNMP community name to a main agent SNMP message community of a UDP message header according to the service need; after receiving the original SNMP request message, the main agent device judges whether there is a custom SNMP community name; if there is no custom SNMP community name, main agent device treatment is carried out; if there is a custom SNMP community name, the main agent device repackages the original SNMP request message to get a new SNMP request message according to the custom SNMP community name; an NAT forwarding table is saved; a sub agent device receives the new SNMP request message, generates an original SNMP response message, and sends the original SNMP response message to the main agent; and after receiving the original SNMP response message, the main agent queries the NAT forwarding table, repackages the original SNMP response message to get a new SNMP response message, and forwards the new SNMP response message to the network manager.
