The system comprises at least two heterogeneous detector modules, wherein each heterogeneous detector module comprises at least two crystal strips; the crystal strips are closely arranged to form the heterogeneous detector modules; detection properties of different kinds of the crystal strips are positioned at different grades; the detection properties of the crystal strips of the same kind are positioned at the same grade; detection property parameters of the crystal strips include energy resolution, density, size, light output and the like; the detection properties of the crystal strips positioned at different grades comprise one or more of the detection property parameters of the crystal strips positioned at different grades. Compared with a high-space-resolution PET system, the system disclosed by the invention has the advantage that the overall manufacturing cost of the PET system can be effectively reduced on premise of not obviously reducing the space resolution of the PET system. Compared with an ordinary-space-resolution PET system, the system disclosed by the invention has the advantage that the space resolution of the PET system can be improved when the cost is not obviously increased. In addition, an imaging view field under the high space resolution can be provided in partial radial direction.
