Abstract

The invention provides a method and device for the non-continuous monitoring of a control channel in a cluster communication system, and the system comprises the steps that cluster UE obtains cluster DRX configuration information which is configured by a base station for a cluster group, wherein the cluster DRX configuration information comprises a cluster DRX period, the start moment offset of the cluster DRX period, and a cluster group time duration timer; the cluster UE determines the start time of the cluster group time duration timer according to the cluster DRX period and the start moment offset of the cluster DRX period; the cluster UE monitors a PDCCH (physical downlink control channel) in an activation time period, wherein the activation time period is a period when the cluster group time duration timer is in operation. Based on the same invention thought, the invention also proposes a device for non-continuous monitoring of the control channel in the cluster communication system. When the cluster UE receives a group call, there is no need to monitor the PDCCH continuously, thereby saving the power.
