Abstract

Embodiments of the invention provide a frequent item set acquisition method and apparatus. The frequent item set acquisition method comprises the steps of dividing a transactional database into multiple sub databases according to configuration information, wherein each sub database is corresponding to a processing module; enabling each processing module to scan the corresponding sub database, and obtaining multiple candidate sets according to a preset first filtering principle; and enabling the multiple candidate sets to be combined into a candidate frequent item set, and obtaining a frequent item set according to a preset second filtering principle. By adoption of the frequent item set acquisition method, by mining the data in the databases, the problems of accommodation impossibility of a memory or slow speed of a computer and the like caused by an over large number of mining data in a global association rule can be avoided, so that the bottleneck problem of big data processing capability is solved.
