Abstract

The block movement device comprises a support mechanism, a rolling mechanism, pulley assemblies and a traction mechanism. The traction mechanism is connected with the pulley assemblies through a steel wire rope. The block movement and construction method used for the inclined building berth comprises following steps: arranging the support mechanism and a movement mechanism between supports below the block; arranging the traction mechanism at the slope crest of the inclined building berth and using the steel wire rope to connect the traction mechanism with the pulley assemblies; starting a windlass to tighten the steel wire rope; starting a jacking mechanism to jack up the block and detaching the supports below the block; starting the windlass to loosen the steel wire rope such that the block can downwardly slide along the inclined building berth through self weight till the block is in place; and subsequently erecting a whole hull. The block movement and construction method used for the inclined building berth and the movement device thereof have following beneficial effects: the block movement device is capable of effectively moving the block from the berth; and the block movement and construction method for the inclined building berth helps effectively shorten the occupation period for the berth and increases production efficiency of the berth.
