Abstract

The method includes the following steps that: a PCRF (policy and charging rule function) unit performs heartbeat detection on a first P-CSCF (proxy-call session control function) unit which provides services currently; if the first P-CSCF unit malfunctions, the PCRF unit sends a fault indication message to a PGW (packet gateway); when services associated with the first P-CSCF unit appear, the PGW sends a bearer update request to a user terminal associated with the services; the user terminal re-registers in a second P-CSCF unit which takes over the services of the first P-CSCF unit according to the received bearer update request, so that the second P-CSCF unit can bear the services.
