Abstract

The invention relates to a vertical axis fan brake system and brake method, and a wind power generation system. The wind power generation system comprises the vertical axis fan brake system, wherein the brake system comprises an energy storage device, a first control switch and a second control switch; the first control switch is arranged on a transmission line between the electric energy output end of a vertical axis fan and the electric network in series; the electric energy output end of the vertical axis fan is connected with the energy storage device through the transmission line; and the second control switch is arranged on the transmission line between the electric energy output end of the vertical axis fan and the energy storage device in series. In the braking process of the vertical axis fan, the energy storage device is utilized to store the energy recovered by the braking of the vertical axis fan into the energy storage device. The brake method can recover the braking energy into other occasions, and thus, is green and environment-friendly; and therefore, the energy generated in the braking process can not be wasted.
