Abstract

The invention provides a method of low grafting, variety changing and agar forming for agarwood. The method comprises following steps: selecting thin ridge hills with high temperature and low humidity; selecting agarwood trees of 4 to 13 years and with ground diameter from 5 to 15 centimeters; cutting off the trees at the position from 30 to 50 centimeters above the ground with saws; openings at the side surface of the agarwood trees remained in the soil; selecting object variety budlings and sharpening the top into two inclined planes; inserting the sharpened budlings into notches; binding the budlings in the notches with adhesive plasters; sealing with aluminum foil on large saw kerf (stocks); sealing the budlings with grafting adhesive papers; finishing the low grafting and variety changing. According to the above method of low grafting, variety changing and agar forming for agarwood, the target variety is green Aquilariaceae malaccensis. By means of the low grafting and variety changing method, object agarwood can be formed 2 to 5 years after survival and agarwood planting period can be shortened for 3 to 6 years.
