The method comprises: after a conversion terminal is detected to be in a conversion state, a noise-reducing microphone of the conversion terminal is turned on; the noise-reducing microphone detects an environment noise value within set time and calculates an average environment noise value within the set time; according to a preset correspondence relation, an ideal conversion volume corresponding to the average environment noise value is determined; and on the basis of the ideal conversion volume, a receiver output volume of the conversion terminal is adjusted automatically. According to the invention, the noise-reducing microphone of the conversion terminal is used for collecting the environment noise, so that no extra hardware needs to be added; and because the receiver output volume is adjusted dynamically according to the noise value, the influence on the conversion quality by the noisy environment can be avoided under the circumstance that the hand-operated intervention from the user is not required, so that an objective that the normal conversion demand of the user can be satisfied in silent or noisy environment.
