Abstract

The invention discloses a navigation method and a navigation device for route planning. The method comprises the following steps: a navigation route re-planning request sent by a navigation terminal is received by a navigation server; whether external information on a current navigation route is changed or not is determined by the navigation server; if yes, a navigation route is re-planned according to the changed external information by the navigation server, wherein the re-planned navigation route is a route taking a current location of the navigation terminal as an origin and an end point of the current navigation route as a destination; the re-planned navigation route is sent to the navigation terminal by the navigation server so as to enable the navigation terminal to display the re-planned navigation route. The navigation route is re-planned through the changed external information, so that a user can avoid a congestion road segment or a road segment on which congestion possibly occurs, travel time of the user is prolonged, and time wasting is avoided.
