Benefits of technology

This patented solution helps prevent collisions with boats during their lifesaving phases while still being able to perform other tasks like navigating around obstacles on land. It improves security measures against terror attacks without causing damage from explosions or accidents involving crew members. Additionally it provides an important guide for pilots when they are planning cruises over waterways.

Problems solved by technology

This technical problem addressed by this patented describes how dangerous an offshoored constructional vessel can collide into other vessels during harbor dockings due to its dynamic movement caused by waves and water currents.

Embodiment Construction

[0015] Such as figure 1 As shown, the ship ultrasonic assisted berthing or berthing system of the present invention includes an ultrasonic ranging sensor, a host, and a distributed acquisition module; the ultrasonic ranging sensor is used to measure the distance between the ship and the docked target, and all distance measurements Results are eventually funneled to said host (eg figure 1 .a the simplest connection mode shown in a); the host computer judges whether the distance between the ship and the docking target is less than or equal to the set dangerous distance by calculating and analyzing the distance measurement results collected, and automatically triggers the sound and light alarm prompt; Considering the long-distance transmission capability and anti-interference ability of the measurement result signal of the ultrasonic ranging sensor, the distributed acquisition module can be added in the system to collect the measurement result signal of the nearby ultrasonic rang...

Abstract

The invention discloses a method and system for ship ultrasonic-assisted berthing or backward berthing. The method comprises the steps that a plurality of ultrasonic ranging sensors are arranged and installed on a portside, a starboard and a stern of a ship; normals of ultrasonic beams sent out by the ultrasonic ranging sensors point to outer sides of ship boards; when the ship starts the berthing or the backward berthing operations, the distance between the ship and a berthing target is monitored in real time, and a real-time ranging result of each sensor is displayed by digital and graphic manners; and when the monitored distance between the ship and the berthing target is smaller than or equal to a set danger distance, audible and visual alarm hints can be triggered automatically. The method and system disclosed by the invention are beneficial for enhancing safety of the ship berthing or the backward berthing operations and have the advantages that risks in intense collision between the ship and the berthing target are reduced; working strength for workers who control and drive the ship to implement the berthing or the backward berthing operations can be relieved; human-centered science and technology are reflected; and the method and system have very high practicability and generalization values.
