The surface treatment includes the following steps that (1) 1-2 parts by mass of ethylene glycol monostearate, 1.3 parts by mass of hexyldecanol, 1.5 parts by mass of lauryl alcohol, 0.8 part by mass of vaseline, 0.9 part by mass of zinc epoxy acid, 1.2 parts by mass of gamma-terpinene and 2.6 parts by mass of polyacrylic acid are added into 15.6 parts by mass of deionized water and evenly stirred and mixed, so that a surface treatment working solution is prepared; (2) the temperature of the surface treatment working solution is increased to 45.5 DEG C; and (3) the metal transmission shaft is placed in the surface treatment working solution to be soaked for 24.5 minutes, and then the metal transmission shaft is taken out and dried. The metal transmission shaft of the plate chain conveyor is subjected to the surface treatment, thereby having excellent friction resistance, corrosion resistance, rust resistance, heat resistance, cold resistance and weather resistance.
