[0071] The invention provides an absorbent polymer device, which is prepared by spinning polycaprolactone (PCL) solution containing microbeads. Specifically, a 25% by weight PCL solution is prepared, and acetone is added to form a suspension. Chitosan particles were 75-150 microns in size and made using US Standard sieves. Afterwards, chitosan particles were added to the suspension. Different amounts of chitosan particles were added. The weight percentage of chitosan particles added is shown in Table 1. The resulting solution is then spun (eg, electrospun) to obtain a device according to the invention.
