Embodiment

[0071] The invention provides an absorbent polymer device, which is prepared by spinning polycaprolactone (PCL) solution containing microbeads. Specifically, a 25% by weight PCL solution is prepared, and acetone is added to form a suspension. Chitosan particles were 75-150 microns in size and made using US Standard sieves. Afterwards, chitosan particles were added to the suspension. Different amounts of chitosan particles were added. The weight percentage of chitosan particles added is shown in Table 1. The resulting solution is then spun (eg, electrospun) to obtain a device according to the invention.

Abstract

Among others, the present invention provides devices for cell or tissue culture, comprising a three-dimensional structure, which further includes fibrils with beads and / or particles. The present invention also relates to novel methods for manufacturing devices for cell or tissue culture.

Description

[0001] related application [0002] This application claims the priority of the US patent application with the application number 61 / 832,074 and the filing date is June 6, 2013, and the content of the US patent application is incorporated into this application in its entirety. Background technique [0003] The existing standard device for cell or tissue culture is the two-dimensional plastic dish that has been used for decades. However, such two-dimensional plastic discs cannot mimic the natural extracellular matrix environment. Compared with two-dimensional cell culture system, the activity and cell shape of cells in three-dimensional cell culture system are closer to the cell activity and shape in vivo. Therefore, particularly due to the recent development of life sciences, such as the development of research on regenerative medicine or therapy, the demand for cell culture devices having a three-dimensional structure has increased. [0004] Most of the existing cell or ti...
