A positioning technology in a wireless sensor network is the main support technology for development of a wireless network technology; node positioning in the wireless sensor network can be divided into two processes: firstly, an unknown node calculates the distance or the angle between the unknown node and an anchor node by utilizing a distance measurement method; in the past, after obtaining the distance or the relative angle between the unknown node and the anchor node, the unknown node calculates the position itself through the schemes including a maximum likelihood method, a triangle measurement method and a trilateration; by means of the wireless sensor positioning method based on the round focal point provided by the invention, a focal point intensive set possibly contains a point to be detected can be known by calculating the focal point of a circle, which takes the anchor node as the circle centre and a corresponding estimation distance as the radius; the triangle positioning algorithm is replaced by an intensity algorithm for calculating the focal point of the circle, which takes the anchor node as the circle centre and the corresponding estimation distance as the radius; therefore, influence due to a loop can be avoided well; and the positioning precision is effectively increased.
