Abstract

The invention relates to a method and apparatus for modifying a character. The method comprises the steps: detecting a second modification instruction when a first modification instruction for modifying the character is received, wherein the second modification instruction is used for instructing at least one part of the character to be modified; and when the second modification instruction is detected, modifying corresponding parts of the character according to the second modification instruction. The method provided by the invention can make modification for parts of a character selected by a user, so that modification for the entire character is made, thereby avoiding the problem of removing the character and reentering a new character in the condition of a mistaken input by the user in associated technology, facilitating the user to input the character, and improving the user experience.
