Abstract

The invention discloses a solid propellant flame segmentation device. The solid propellant flame segmentation device comprises directional supports, a support, a quartz glass plate, a solid propellant support, a pedestal, a rotating shaft support, connection blocks, and a fire pressing plate. Application of the solid propellant flame segmentation device comprises following steps: the support is lifted upward; solid propellant is placed on the solid propellant support, and is ignited; the support is pressed downward so that the support falls into grooves on the top parts of the two directional supports, the quartz glass plate and the fire pressing plate fall onto the flame of the solid propellant, and half of the flame is covered by the fire pressing plate, the flame is divided by the quartz glass plate from the middle, and a schlieren device is used for observing moving process of metallic aluminium particles in one part of the flame which is not covered by the fire pressing plate from the other side which is covered with the fire pressing plate. The solid propellant flame segmentation device is simple in structure, and convenient in operation; the quartz glass plate and the fire pressing plate are both made of transparent high temperature-resistant glass; and it is convenient for observing moving states of metallic aluminium particles in the flame using the schlieren device.
