Problems solved by technology

However, in practice, the power line of the signal source integrated circuit may pour current into the power line of the receiving end integrated circuit through the transmission line and the terminal resistor of the receiving end integrated circuit, making its voltage greater than 0V
Such a current backflow phenomenon may cause some default values of the receiving-end integrated circuit to be wrong when the power of the electronic device where the receiving-end integrated circuit is located is turned on again.

Embodiment Construction

[0014] figure 1 Two electronic devices 100 and 101 connected by transmission lines 112a and 112b are shown. The electronic device 100 has a signal source integrated circuit 116 that can send differential signals to the receiving end integrated circuit 107 in the electronic device 101 through the transmission lines 112 a and 112 b. For example, the electronic device 100 is a multimedia player, and the electronic device 101 is a LCD TV, and the transmission lines 112 a and 112 b are two transmission lines in a high density multimedia interface (HDMI) cable. As shown in the figure, the signal source integrated circuit 116 has terminal resistors 118a and 118b electrically connected to a 3.3V power line. The receiving end integrated circuit 107 has terminal resistors 114a and 114b electrically connected to the power line VCC. The termination resistors 114a and 114b, 118a and 118b are used to match the impedance of the transmission lines 112a and 112b. During normal operation, th...

Abstract

The invention provides an integrated circuit capable of preventing a current from flowing backwards to a power line. The integrated circuit comprises an input circuit having a bonding pad and a boost circuit. The boost circuit comprises a boost switch, a bulk control switch and a control circuit. The boost switch comprises a first control end and a first bulk and is used for making the bonding pad electrically connected to the power line. The bulk control switch comprises a second control end and a second bulk and is used for making the first bulk and the second bulk connected to the power line. The control circuit is electrically connected to the power line and the bonding pad and controls the first control end and the second control end according to one internal signal, one source voltage of the power line and one bonding pad voltage of the bonding pad. When the source voltage is a preset voltage, the control circuit makes the bulk control switch on. When the source voltage is a grounding voltage and the bonding pad voltage is a preset voltage, the control circuit controls the bulk control switch and the boost switch to be off.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to an input circuit of an integrated circuit, in particular to an input circuit capable of preventing backflow of current. Background technique [0002] Communication between electronic products can be achieved through physical transmission lines and special communication specifications. Generally speaking, an integrated circuit responsible for providing signals can be called a source integrated circuit (source IC), and an integrated circuit that receives signals through a transmission line can be called a sink IC. [0003] Many communication standards use differential signals for communication, which can achieve a relatively high transmission speed of communication signals. However, for high-speed communication, the receiving-end integrated circuit often needs to be equipped with a terminal resistor to reduce signal reflection and increase transmission speed. For example, a terminator can be provided in the receiver int...
