Abstract

An electrical connector includes an insulating body, a signal terminal, and ground terminals located on both sides of the signal terminal. The insulating body includes a tongue plate and a plurality of terminal slots. The terminal groove extends to the tongue plate. There are partition walls between the terminal slots. The signal terminal and the ground terminal are installed in the terminal groove respectively. Each terminal includes a flat contact portion extending to the tongue plate and exposed on the tongue plate and a holding projection. The flat contact portion of each terminal includes a thick section and a thinned section extending from an end of the thick section. The holding projections of each terminal are arranged beside the junction of the thick section and the thin section, and are fixed by interfering with the partition wall body of the corresponding terminal groove. A groove is provided on the partition body between each ground terminal and its adjacent signal terminal, so that the sides of each ground terminal and its adjacent signal terminal are exposed to each other.
