Problems solved by technology

[0010] However, in the ink cartridge described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 9-20015, as described above, although an absorber for absorbing and holding ink leaked from the ink supply port of the cartridge main body is installed near the ink supply port, due to The absorber uses polyurethane foam, etc., so there is a problem that the absorber is swollen and deteriorated by oily ink, and the ink cannot be absorbed due to the deterioration of the absorber.
[0011] In addition, when the inkjet recording device and the ink cartridge are repeatedly attached and detached, the amount of ink that can be absorbed by the absorber sometimes exceeds the amount that the absorber can absorb, and the ink cannot be absorbed, and the ink drips from the ink supply port.

Abstract

An ink cartridge includes a socket portion provided at one end of an ink storage container and configured to be fitted to and detached from a joint portion of a printing machine, an ink supply port provided in the socket portion, and an inner plug configured to seal an ink passage to the ink supply port in response to biasing force applied from a side of the ink storage container. An insertion shaft, provided in the joint portion, pressing the inner plug against the biasing force upon a fitting of the socket portion to the joint portion enables the ink passage to communicate with the ink supply port. An ink holding portion of the inner plug with the insertion shaft pulled out from the ink holding portion after inserted holds the ink near the ink supply port.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to an ink cartridge. [0002] This application is based on and claims priority from prior Japanese Patent Application No. 2013-257944 filed on December 13, 2013, the entire contents of which are hereby incorporated by reference. Background technique [0003] In general, an inkjet printing apparatus employing the inkjet method uses a plurality of ink cartridges containing inks such as yellow (Y), magenta (M), cyan (C), and black (K) according to ink colors, for example. [0004] Moreover, by supplying ink from the ink cartridges of each color of ink to the inkjet heads provided according to the ink colors, and ejecting the inks of each color from the inkjet heads of each color of ink toward the paper, it is possible to print in color on the paper. For this reason, images and characters are often used as printing devices for home use and business use, and monochrome printing can be performed using only one color of black (K...
