The method comprises the following steps of acquiring a uniform resource locator corresponding to a page uploaded by a mark page in a browser of an IE (Internet Browser) inner core, wherein the browser of the IE inner core carries a set plug-in, and the set plug-in fills the browser of the IE inner core through an browser auxiliary target by a first application program independent from the browser; calling the set plug-in, and acquiring the website information matched with the uniform resource locator through the set plug-in, wherein the website information comprises at least one of safety evaluation information, authentication information and website type information of a website; uploading a set window in the browser of the IE inner core; uploading and displaying the website information in the set window. By the method, the safety of the website browsed through the browser by a user is guaranteed.
