Abstract

The present technique is related to a decoding device and method, an audio signal processing device and method, and a program making it possible to obtain an interpolated signal with little strangeness and a smaller calculation load. A frame-signal decoding unit decodes frame data and generates a decoded signal, and an interpolation-status assessment unit assesses interpolation status to determine a processing pattern to be performed in order to obtain an output signal on the basis of an error flag. A similar-signal detection unit extracts part of a decimation signal obtained by decimating a past output signal. An up-sampling unit up-samples the extracted decimation signal, and a smoothing unit smooths the up-sampled decimation signal and generates an interpolated signal. An output switching unit outputs any of the decoded signal, the interpolated signal, or a signal obtained by the weighted overlap-addition of the decoded signal and the interpolated signal, as an output signal according to the interpolation status. The present technique may be applied to an audio-signal processing device.
