Embodiment Construction

[0030] Referring now to the drawings, in which the present invention is generally indicated by the numeral 10, it can be observed that it basically includes a frame assembly 20 and a door panel assembly 30 hingedly mounted to the front. in figure 1 In, a cross-sectional view of the door assembly 10 shown in the closed position of the storm shelter is shown. The ladder L is placed inward to facilitate the user's entry and exit. This is one of the two extreme positions of the door panel 32. The telescopic outer lever assembly 40 is shown in a horizontal position, or zero degree position. The telescopic inner lever assembly 60 is also shown in a horizontal position, which will be referred to as a 180 degree position. With the door panel 32 in this position, the user can be inside or outside the protected area.

[0031] figure 2 The door panel 32, the outer lever assembly 40 and the inner lever assembly 60 are shown in a horizontal position. The two outer and inner lever assembl...

Abstract

The invention discloses a door component used for a storm refuge and used for protecting a shell with an opening structure. The door component is provided with a framework component and an opening around the framework component, wherein the framework component is arranged on the shell; the shell is a typical storm refuge; a door panel is hinged to the framework component along a longitudinal hinge axis; an outer side lever component and an inner side lever component are pivotally arranged on a fixed datum axis outside the framework component; a force multiplier is used for offering torque required for moving the door panel between two extreme positions; each lever component is used for generating related telescopic torque, and has a spatially allowable longest dimension. A user can very easily open and close the door component arranged by heavy hinges; in order to further conveniently and smoothly open and close the door panel, a gas spring component and / or a coil spring can be utilized.

Description

Technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a door assembly, and in particular, to a door assembly that can be opened and closed with a relatively small force. This type of door assembly is commonly used in storm shelters, which require users to move relatively heavy doors in a short time. Background technique [0002] Some door assembly designs have been designed in the past. However, none of them include the feature required here, which overcomes the need to apply a considerable amount of force to open and close relatively heavy doors, especially when the task needs to be completed in a relatively small period of time. [0003] The present invention is particularly applicable to storm shelters that require a reliable door assembly. Sturdy door assemblies are usually heavy. Due to FEMA specifications, the door assembly is heavy and difficult to open and close. This requires relatively large force. [0004] In many instances, children, the elderly, or the disabled c...
