Abstract

A gas monitoring system operates in an electronic device. The system contains an acquisition module, a judgment module and a control module. The acquisition module is used for reading an on-site gas concentration value of the electronic device that is acquired by an analog-digital conversion device which acquires analog quantity of the on-site gas concentration from a gas sensor of the electronic device and converts the analog quantity to digital quantity of the gas concentration. The judgment module is used for comparing the obtained on-site gas concentration value and a preset gas concentration warning value so as to judge whether the on-site gas concentration exceeds standard. The control module is used for controlling the electronic device to send a warning signal when the on-site gas concentration exceeds standard. The invention also provides a gas monitoring method. According to the invention, concentration of harmful gases in an environment where a user is can be monitored, and the user can be reminded immediately to take measures for personal safety control.
