Abstract

The method includes the steps that a protocol rule which is configured for a content recognition processor in an exchange chip in advance is obtained; received messages are screened by the content recognition processor, the messages conforming to message processing conditions in the protocol rule serve as the first messages, and the messages which do not conform to the message processing conditions in the protocol rule serve as second messages; the first messages are output in a multicast mode through a multicast group which message processing actions in the protocol rule point to; the second messages are output in a balanced mode through the content recognition processor in the exchange chip. According to the message output method and device, the content recognition processor in the exchange chip and the multicast group are used for forwarding the received messages, and therefore the hardware purchasing cost and the research and development cost of software and hardware of shut equipment are effectively lowered.
