Abstract

The hyperspectral image compression method based on the interested pixel protection is superior to a common compression method, and effectiveness of the hyperspectral image compression method is fully proved through experimental results. In other regions, edge information acquired through the hyperspectral image compression method is more detailed than information obtained through the common compression method, and the advantages of the hyperspectral image compression method are displayed more remarkably as the compression ratio increases in spite of differences in degree.
