According to the invention, the driver himself evaluates the ambient conditions and selects a suitable default value for the coefficient of friction via a suitable human-machine interface (HMI: Human Machine Interface). According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the presetting is carried out by means of a switch or button which limits the maximum usable coefficient of friction to a fixed predetermined value.
