Abstract

A pump arrangement is disclosed, preferably as a constant pressure system, with a plurality of parallel-connected fixed displacement pumps, which are jointly driven by a variable-speed drive. Each metering pump has an associated working line, in which a distributing valve is respectively arranged, via which the delivery volume flow of the associated metering pump can be discharged to the tank. The working lines are fed into a common high-pressure line of the pump units. According to the invention, depending on a respective threshold speed of the variable-speed drive, the switch can be operated either for deactivation or inactive switching or for activating or switching the dispensing valve of the associated metering pump.
