Problems solved by technology

Although the above three schemes improve the positioning accuracy to varying degrees compared with the simple centroid algorithm or weighted centroid algorithm, they all have their own shortcomings: the above scheme [1] must use a beamable antenna, which increases the system cost; the above scheme [2] needs to sample RSS multiple times at more reference points to obtain reliable local field strength changes, which introduces a large manpower and time cost; the above scheme [3] adopts linear approximation and discards the real RSS - Useful information contained in the non-linear part of the distance exponential relationship model
In addition, all the above solutions only solve the problem of AP positioning, without considering how to estimate the path loss model

Embodiment Construction

[0023] Specifically, the problem considered by the present invention is as follows: measure k respectively on integer N (N≥3) known reference nodes 1 ,k 2 ,…k N RSS information from the AP, using these RSS information to estimate the target location and path loss model. Suppose the target node is located at (x,y); the known position of the reference node is (x i ,y i )(i=1,2,…N); the jth RSS received on the ith reference node is r i,j (j=1,2,...,k i ), according to the path loss model of wireless propagation, r i,j can be given by:

[0024] r i,j (dBm)=α(dBm)-10nlog 10 (d)+v

[0025] Among them, α is the power received at a distance of 1 m from the transmitting antenna; n is the path loss index; d is the distance between the receiving antenna and the transmitting antenna, that is ; v is a random variable representing shadow fading, which is usually assumed to obey a Gaussian distribution in the study of wireless transmission models, such as v~N(0,σ 2 ). It can be...

Abstract

The invention discloses a combined estimation method for a Wi-Fi AP (wireless fidelity access point) position and path loss model. The method is characterized by comprising the following steps: S1, sample acquiring: randomly selecting N (N is more than or equal to 3) reference points with known positions in the coverage area of a target AP, wherein the position of each reference point is described in the specification, and acquiring ki (i=1, 2, ... N) RSS (received signal strength) samples from the target AP on each reference point; S2, problem modeling: modeling the combined estimation problem of the AP position and path loss model into a multi-variable optimization problem according to a minimum variance estimation method and a wireless transmission path loss model; and S3, optimization problem solving. According to the scheme, while the Wi-Fi AP is positioned accurately, the path loss model is accurately estimated, and the method can also be applied to base station positioning of other wireless communication systems.

Description

Technical field: [0001] The invention relates to a Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity, wireless local area network based on IEEE 802.11 series standards) joint estimation method of AP (access point) position and path loss model in an anonymous environment, belonging to the field of wireless communication. Background technique: [0002] Wi-Fi AP location information and path loss models provide possibilities for many academic research and commercial applications. From an academic research point of view, Wi-Fi AP location and path loss model is the premise of triangulation, one of the popular and mainstream Wi-Fi positioning technologies in recent years; from a commercial point of view, the known Wi-Fi AP AP map can be built to provide operators with network planning and management support, user network access consulting and other services. [0003] At present, in the existing relevant research, there are four typical schemes as follows: [1] Estimate the angle of arrival (AoA) accordin...
