Abstract

An embodiment of the invention provides a method and a device for data message transmission and relates to the field of communication. The method and the device can reduce cache distributed for users, a step in the prior art of recombining message fragments is omitted, and power consumption and cost of a chip are reduced. The method includes that a first message fragment which comprises a fragment start field and a fragment end field is received; and if the fragment end field comprises first identification, the first message fragment is converted into a first message slice of a corresponding format or a message slice of a corresponding format according to the fragment start field and the fragment end field and according to a preset rule. Whether the length of the message slice is larger than a preset value is judged according to the length of the message slice. If the length of the message slice is larger than the preset value, the message slice is used as the first message slice. The first message slice is sent to a buffer.
