Abstract

The invention discloses a multi-dimension design method of a relational database, wherein the relational database is provided; and the method comprises the steps of performing the analysis of data latitude: performing the analysis design on dimensions of time, belonging, business, state and sequence of data in the relational database; and establishing a latitude mode of the data: establishing a time latitude mode, a belonging latitude mode, a business latitude mode, a state latitude mode and a sequence latitude mode through the analysis design to the dimensions so as to form a multi-dimension database. Compared with the existing relational database, the method provided by the invention is applicable to the design of various database systems using the relational database; the operation speed of a relational database system is increased; the long-term rapid operation of the database system is ensured; the mass storage and the real time access of the database system are realized within a containable range of a storage device; and the requirement of the database system to hardware and the operation cost are reduced.
