Abstract

The invention provides a system and a method for automatically managing the desktop application icons of a mobile terminal. The system comprises core equipment, and storage equipment, an operating record capture unit, an operating record analysis unit and a desktop icon rearrangement unit which are connected with the core equipment. The method comprises the following steps that: a monitoring program of the operating record capture unit is started to monitor desktop operation, and the operating record analysis unit sequences the starting times of all applications on a desktop in a descending order; and the desktop icon rearrangement unit sends a record sequencing request to the operating record analysis unit, the operating record analysis unit sends the stored sequencing result to the desktop icon rearrangement unit, and the desktop icon rearrangement unit calculates the position numbers of two icons of which the positions are needed to be changed by using the sequenced records and performs rearrangement.
