A short-distance tree planting method for a road widening project based on sliding technology includes: firstly, digging a trench around trees, and placing two slide rail devices in parallel along the trench; secondly, erecting a 'pyramid' shaped steel support between the trees and the two slide rail devices to hold the trees, using hoops to 'hold' the trees, and excavating excessive soil to suspend the trees along with soil balls; thirdly, using covering materials such as straw ropes and the like to reinforce and moisturize the soil balls; fourthly, mounting a power device to push and pull the steel support so as to slide the trees properly; fifthly, backfilling soil below and around the soil balls, erecting a double-layer support after soil is compacted and stabilized, and removing the steel support and the surrounding slide rail devices; and sixthly, planting other trees in the same way.
