Abstract

The invention discloses an arbored planting method of weigela floridas, belonging to the field of cultivating plants. The method provided by the invention comprises the following steps of: (1) cutting off weigela florida twigs with the length of 12-17 cm to be cultured in a container from June to July; (2) transplanting twig seedlings in the container into a large field to grow for 2 years in spring of the next year; (3) levelly stumping transplanted seedlings in the large field, removing sprouts and strengthening branches; when the main branch grows to the height of 2 m, locating the branches; pruning side branches which are shorter than 1.8 m and keeping short branches with the length of 3-5 cm; and (4) transplanting for 2-3 times and gradually increasing a row distance of the plants, pinching and culturing trunks to obtain arbored weigela floridas. Through utilizing the method provided by the invention, the shrub type weigela floridas are cultured into the arbor type weigela floridas, so that the following problems are avoided: the trunks of the traditional weigela floridas are not obvious, more branches are existed, and the corollas are small; the thickness of the trunks and acorolla extent are increased, the trunks are tall and straight, flowers are greater, colors are versatile, and an observing value is extremely high. The method provided by the invention can be used for culturing in batch and is good for popularizing.
