Abstract

The invention discloses a checking device for a storage area network. The checking device detects a machine to be tested in the storage area network. A storage management initiative specification is electrically connected to the machine to be tested, stores a plurality of original test profiles, and transmits a service location protocol testing request to the machine to be tested by a service location protocol module. A testing module extracts the original test profile corresponding to the machine to be tested from the storage management initiative specification according to the responded service location protocol information of the machine to be tested, generates a text to be tested according to the machine to be tested and the original test profile, and outputs the text to be tested to the machine to be tested by the service location protocol module. The machine to be tested runs the text to be tested, and generates and outputs a result after the running.
