Embodiment Construction

[0027] The present invention will be further described below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings and specific embodiments.

[0028] The technical solution of the invention is to realize QoS in IPv6 network for broadband access equipment (including MSAN (multi-service access network), DSLAM (digital subscriber line access multiplexer) or OLT (optical line terminal)).

[0029] The main idea of the present invention is to realize the two-layer QoS mechanism through Traffic Class+Flow label; the terminal is in the routing mode, and the priority of the inner layer is mapped to the Flow label (flow label) of the outer layer through the dual-stack lite method ; The access network (AN, Access Network) implements priority according to TrafficClass+Flow label.

[0030] The realization principle of the present invention: to realize the QoS capability of the two-layer access network, both layers of TC labels must be marked to meet the requirements.

[0031] 1. The broadband a...

Abstract

The invention discloses a method and system for controlling the quality of service (QoS) in internet protocol version 6 (IPV6). The method comprises the following steps: after a broadband access unit (BAU) receives data streams from a user port, mapping the QoS priority of a user port business into the priority of an internet protocol differentiated services code point (IP DSCP); when the BAU is subjected to tunnel encapsulation, mapping the priority of the IP DSCP into an outer flow label; and after a two-layer access network receives the data steams which are forwarded by the BAU and the flow label is mapped into the priority label of switching equipment, forwarding by the whole two-layer access network in accordance with the QoS priority in a priority label of the switching equipment. According to the invention, the problem of the QoS capacity provided by the overall network to data with different priorities in the IPv6 tunnel is solved.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of communication, in particular to a method and system for controlling quality of service (QoS) in IPV6. Background technique [0002] The transition to IPv6 must be gradual. Considering that there are already a large number of networks and nodes connected to the Internet, people cannot accept a large number of upgrades in the form of switching. Such an upgrade would require network administrators to find and install new versions of networking software for every host and router on the Internet, which would be difficult given the many different platforms running IPv4 today. [0003] The transition to IPv6 will also be a relatively slow process. It is expected that IPv4 and IPv6 will coexist for a long time, perhaps forever. Most transition strategies rely on the two-way approach of protocol tunneling, where IPv4 packets from the IPv4 island are encapsulated in IPv6 packets, then transmitted in the operator's IPv6 ne...
