Abstract

The invention relates to a firewall pressure testing method which aims at firewall pressure test. The method comprises the following steps of: sampling data packets in normal network transmission as testing data; recording the transmission direction and the transmission sequence of the data packets to form a plurality of testing sequences; setting a group of filtering rules to filter the testing sequences; recording the data packets incapable of passing the filtering rules; setting the same group of filtering rules to a firewall to be tested; sending data packets to pass through the firewall according to the transmission direction and the transmission sequence recorded during sampling the data packets in the testing sequences; checking the actual filtering situation of the firewall; and comparing with the data packets incapable of passing the filtering rules recorded previously to obtain the actual defending effect of the firewall. The method simulates actual network data packet flow and utilizes interactive testing environment to achieve a quantitative, interactive and actual testing effect for the firewall.
